Our Story
Unapologetically delicious
There’s something about this stretch of the canal. The stone, the trees, the light at dusk makes people slow down. Old Angler’s Inn has been part of that landscape since 1860, and for nearly 70 years the Reges family has had the privilege of welcoming guests through its doors.
Generations have celebrated here. Engagements. Anniversaries. First dates. Post-ride lunches. Long, overdue dinners with friends. Some come in cycling gear and stay for a drink. Others dress up for candlelight and a bottle of wine. However you arrive, you’re met the same way, warmly and without pretense.
With multiple terraces, gardens, dining rooms, and gathering spaces, the Inn offers room to linger whether for live music at the bar, a quiet table in the restaurant, or a celebration that fills the property.
As we approach our 70th year as family stewards, our commitment remains simple: take care of the place, take care of the food, and most importantly, take care of the people who walk through our doors.Eat. Drink. Enjoy.

The best coffee Julius Meinl is served as well as their loose tea. Always love you to sit inside by the fire upstairs near the disco room or outside on the patio around the bonfire.

Ambiance matters and OAI is the perfect landing spot. A relaxed atmosphere with an old school local charm. Whether dining indoors or enjoying the patio, I've never felt anything other than welcome and comfortable. Food is outstanding; the perfect hanger steak

We went to Old Anglers Inn tonight and they had a Surf and turf special ( Steak and Lobster tail ) with mashed potatoes and green beans, we substituted for asparagus. Both our dinners were outstanding! The hanger steak was tender and covered with a rich gravy. The lobster tail was juicy with drawn butter on the side.The magnificent fire pit was roaring and patrons were seated outside, we chose the cozy indoors. We will be back again soon for my favorite steak and eggs brunch!

Went there today for a sunday brunch with a friend. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was rather cold today so we chose to sit inside. I ordered the steak & eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked. I liked the touch of having a waiter provide freshly ground pepper. The food was delicious. Afterwards I had the key lime cheesecake. The sauces they put on the desert made it all the better. Afterwards we went outside to enjoy the fire...

BEER GARDEN: This area is intended for a more casual dining experience, we don't take reservations at this venue. Being across the street from the C&0 canal since its inception, we hope that you (and your pup stop by after a hike! (Heaters and fire pit are available back here as well!)
