The Old Angler’s Inn, in celebration of its 50th Anniversary and in the spirit of the “fine food and good fellowship” enjoyed by patrons of the Inn during its history, is awarding our loyal customers a complementary membership to The Order of the Golden Hook.   Our members enjoy:

About Order of the Golden Hook - A set of solid gold hooks were presented to the proprietor of The Old Angler’s Inn in 1872 by an associate of John Clear, a soldier of a volunteer regiment, who, during the civil war discovered a gold mine less than ½ a mile from the Inn and returned following the war and operated it successfully from 1868 to 1880. “The Hook”, one of a set, was presented in appreciation of the fine food and good fellowship the diner enjoyed at the Inn.  The Order of the Golden Hook, which numbers among its objectives the preservation of the tradition of gastronomy and bonhomie which the Inn has symbolized since 1860, takes its name from this hook and makes its headquarters at the Inn.

Once issued the card is valid until March 31, 2009.  Renewal information will be sent to those loyal members utilizing their cards regularly in the winter of 2009. It is the holder of the card’s obligation to determine what promotions are presently being offered to Golden Hook members.
